311 was formed in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska by singer/guitarist Nick Hexum, singer/dj SA Martinez, lead guitarist Tim Mahoney, drummer Chad Sexton and bassist P-Nut.
They have released eight studio albums (four Gold, one Platinum, and one Triple-Platinum), one live album, one greatest hits album (Gold) and three dvd’s (one Gold, two Platinum). The band has sold over 8 million units in the U.S. alone.
311 have developed a rather diverse fanbase from their unique sound (mixing rock, reggae, hip-hop and funk) and from always maintaining a balance of hard-rocking songs and melodic mellow gems.
After years of consistent touring, 311 have developed a reputation as one of the hardest working, most influential and most entertaining live bands in the U.S.
