On October 16, 2008, MDA partnered with Baxter’s American Cuisine, The Depot and the Utah Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) for an electric entertainment showcase for leaders in the hospitality industry. We Built This City Gala raised over $7,500 benefiting MDA of Utah.
This event was a unique experience for attendees showcasing an elaborate entertainment venue, first class cuisine and 5 hours of local entertainment where guests experienced the different genres of music Salt Lake has to offer. The headliners included: Jason Hewitt, 88 Miles per Hour, Black Legends featuring Alex Boye, Imagine – The Beatles Reunion, Travis Curtis and the 80s Showcase. In addition to these top local bands, guests were swooned by local jazz and blues trios and acoustic performances throughout the reception and during intermissions.
